Palm Sunday - The day of Jesus' "triumphal" entry into Jerusalem. The account is related in all four gospels, and all four of them relate the people that were gathered shouting "Hosanna, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" In doing a Strong's word search, (I have heard several explanations taught on it's meaning) it translates the word Yasha'na as "Save us," or "Save, I pray" or "Save us now." It's interesting since the passages also talk about the reason the people came was because they had heard that Jesus had just raised Lazarus from the dead (John 12:18) so they were coming out to see the celebrity and using the words of Psalm 118: 25-26, the same psalm that talks about Him being "the stone that the builders rejected has become the chief corner stone." So even in their words they were setting the stage for how in just 6 short days, He would be rejected even to the point of them crying out for Him to be crucified.
