"He is risen... He is risen indeed!"

What an exhausting yet rewarding week. I thought several times that the church ought to have its own calendar that starts on Easter. It certainly is a time of new beginnings and Tri did an excellent job of pointing out yesterday.

The week started with Palm Sunday last week as I mentioned in a previous post. I then had the opportunity to help with sound during the passover Seder on Thursday and be part of the sound crew for the Good Friday event as well. It didn't quite come off as planned since the weather didn't cooperate for the hike up to tablerock, but it did keep everything condensed to the penitentiary and the botanical gardens which had the benefit of allowing us to have everything wrapped up by 8:30 p.m.

It was a privilege to get to work in support of this week-long event, but tiring as well. We didn't manage to drag ourselves out of bed at 5 a.m. yesterday for the sunrise service, much to the kids disappointment, but we still had a nice day with a huge breakfast, late service, a trip to the movies (Curious George at the wonderful '50 cents' theater' and an excellent Easter dinner. Thanks Birgit!
