Well, we made it back. We drove with my buddy's bike in the back of a rental pickup from Boise (his is the silver one in the pics), down HWY 15 to the 89 to the 17 into PHX in one day.
We then bought my new '98 steamer and took HWY 93 all the way back home, more or less ;).
We stopped in Ely overnight on Saturday where there is a plethora of fine accommodations . Put 1,000 miles on my (and our) machines with absolutely no incidents or problems whatsoever, not counting a few odd, inconsiderate, rude, clueless car drivers. Now it's sitting in the garage where it will stay for TWO WEEKS while I go to training in Roseville, wahhhh!
