I came across this animated short after being intruiged by a Russian one on a friends blog. I happened upon it after searching for German animation on YouTube and remarked on my friend's blog how poignant/ironic it was when you consider where and when it was made. That happens to be Nazi Germany in 1942 and it turns out there is an entire dissertaion on the subject entitled: "Resistance And Subversion in Animated Films of The Nazi Era: the Case of Hans Fischerkoesen." Like I said, good stuff.
